ITGM755: Project B

Part 1: Start a Blog

In this unit, you will start a blog. You should add your usual introductions of yourself as a first entry. Please include your personal (professional) interests and goals so your readers may be more acquainted with you as an artist/designer.

This blog must be hosted by SCAD since it will be used for three courses in the thesis process.

1. Go to http://blog.scad.edu/home/ to create the blog.
2. Click the create a blog / login to your blog link.
3. Use your SCAD ID and password for this blog.
4. Name the blog using your first and last name.

Visit Lynda.com for instructions on using WordPress software if you need help.

Part 2: Thesis Statement

Next week, update your blog with the thesis statement. You may copy the text directly from your Project A: Part 4 entry to the post on your blog. Your blog will serve as a constant record of your progress and process.

As a reminder, you should be adding posts in addition to your assignment requirements. This blog serves as a link to other faculty, students, and colleagues who will look at your thesis concepts outside of our class.

Part 4: Visual Component Plan

At the end of this week, update your blog with the description and the action plan(s) proposed for the visual component. You may copy the text directly from your Project C: Part 1 to the post on your blog. This may seem like a repetitious step, but keep in mind that the Blackboard environment will be closed once this quarter is over. Your blog will serve as a constant record of your progress and process.

Part 5: Thesis Abstract

Procedure

At the end of this week, update your blog with the thesis abstract. As a reminder, the thesis abstract is a brief summary of your thesis goals and methods. This should be succinct and easy to understand. The abstract should also include mention of your visual component. The abstract ideally should be approximately 2 – 4 sentences. Try to stay within this length.
